My Teaching Experiences

I initially thought I would need to advertise myself to be able to teach yoga, but I was fortunate enough to have many people from the community ask me to teach for them.  Here are some of my experiences:

I taught the Cedar High Drill Team girls in many morning practices to help wake
them up and stretch their muscles (5:30 am-7 am).  They needed a more rigorous,
vinyasa flow style of yoga to get their blood pumping and their bodies ready to dance.

I offered free children's yoga classes at On Stage Dance Studio where I also teach dance.
Kids are so naturally flexible so it was more about helping them find awareness
in their bodies and of course, to have fun while being active.

I was also able to teach at SUU on several occasions in the dance department.
Many that attended those classes were not dancers so I had a wide array of flexibility,
coordination, and strength.  It was great for me to experience teaching many different levels at one time and how to navigate that so that everyone felt comfortable in class.  I noticed that every time I taught there, I got more and more comfortable being in front of the class.

I also had the opportunity to teach at several LDS young women activities where I taught girls from 12 to 18 years old, as well as, their leaders.  I unfortunately forgot to take photos on those occasions.  I really tried to focus on health and how important it is to take care of our bodies.  I also tried to help them see yoga as a way to de-stress.  I wanted to keep it fun and energetic for them.
